We gathered last weekend to scourge the skies with Libertalia: Winds of Galecrest. This is a very approachable game and you generally get the basic mechanics after the end of the first round, but it’s also got enough variation in possible card selection to keep it interesting too. I was familiar with standard Libertalia, so I was pleased they held onto the main card selection mechanic. There seemed like a couple of tweaks beyond reskinning the original game and I think those were nice additions.
We ended up playing 3 games back-to-back, late into the night, and a good time was had by all.
